Gallegos
and Tollefson Elected to The Learning Source Board of Directors
LAKEWOOD,
CO—Oct. 16, 2003—Robert Gallegos,
category manager for Albertson’s, and Dave Tollefson,
president of the Urban Farmer, Inc., have been elected to serve
on the Board of Directors for The Learning Source for Adults and
Families.
The
Board’s current officers will continue through 2004. Hugh
P. Armstrong, a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP,
is the Board’s president. Community leader Elizabeth
Frawley is vice president; Margaret Brown,
branch president, Colorado Business Bank, is secretary; and Laura
Rogers, vice president of 1st Bank of Arapahoe County,
is treasurer for 2004. Mary E. Moser, Moser and
Silver LLP, is the immediate past president.
Also serving on the Board for The Learning Source are: Dave
Aguilera, meteorologist for NEWS4; Isabel Alvarado-Bailey,
community leader; Mary-Margaret Henke, assistant
controller with CoBank; Laura Jacobsen, owner
of Waggin Tails; Sister Cecilia Linenbrink, foundress
of The Learning Source; George Valuck, executive
director of the Alameda Gateway Community Association; and Christine
Watson, Regis University.
Established in 1964, The Learning Source provides opportunities
for motivated adult learners and families to attain educational
goals through adult and family literacy programs; GED and English
instruction provided by trained volunteer tutors, led by a dedicated
staff; and accessible centers located within the Denver metro
area.
