Foster and Sultan Elected to Learning Source Board of Directors

LAKEWOOD, CO—Sept. 20, 2007—The Learning Source , a local nonprofit working to educate adults and families in the Denver metro area, recently added two new members to its Board of Directors:  James Perez  Foster, Solera National Bancorp, Inc., and Andrew Sultan of Jacobs, Chase, Frick, Kleinkopf & Kelley, LLC.

Foster is the Founder and Chairman of Solera National Bancorp, a community commercial bank with a core specialization serving the diverse Hispanic demographic.  He moved to the Denver metro area four years ago after 33 years in New York City working with the investment firms of Merrill Lynch & Co., and Smith Barney, Inc.  Foster is of Dominican descent and is proficient in the Spanish language.

 
Sultan practices corporate and securities law, and is a partner at Jacobs, Chase, Frick, Kleinkopf & Kelley, LLC.  He emigrated to the United States from Pakistan as a young child and moved to Colorado 11 years ago to attend law school.  He joined his current law firm approximately five years ago.  A resident of Lowry, Sultan also is a volunteer tutor with The Learning Source at its GED program offered on the Lowry Campus.

Both men bring special expertise and experience to our Board,” explains Susan Lythgoe , executive director of The Learning Source .  “They both have an understanding of what it’s like for families to learn the language and adjust to a new country.”
