Hugh Armstrong, a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, will serve as next year’s president. Community leader Liz Frawley will serve as vice president. Margaret Brown, vice president and Colorado private bank manager for Wells Fargo Bank, will serve as secretary, and Laura Rogers, vice president of 1st Bank of Arapahoe County, will serve as treasurer. The past president of the board is Mary Moser, an attorney with Wade Ash Woods Hill & Farley, P.C. Also serving on the board are: Dave Aguilera, NEWS 4; Isabel Alvarado-Bailey, community leader; Mary Margaret Henke, assistant controller with CoBank; Laura Jacobsen, Waggin Tails; Sister Cecilia Linenbrink, foundress of The Learning Source; George Valuck, executive director of the Alameda Gateway Community Association; and Christine Watson, Regis University. New to next year’s board of directors is David Chandler, Boulder Valley Schools. Established in 1964, The Learning Source believes education is essential to people’s freedom, their confidence, and their ability to perform in the family, community and workplace. The organization provides opportunities for motivated adult learners and families to attain educational goals through adult and family literacy; GED and English instruction provided by trained volunteer tutors, led by a dedicated staff; and accessible centers located within the community.
