About The Educational Reform Network

As an open source platform, TERN is interested in collaborations of all kinds to showcase 21st century teaching methodologies and curricula that fit the needs of our millennial students. Curriculum development has been a major focus in recent years and TERN believes it is important to incorporate these existing 21st century curriculums into effective teaching methods that are continuing to evolve.

TERN will assist teachers in formatting and packaging their curriculums for presentation on this website and in classrooms. Utilizing the most current multimedia technology, TERN will video capture teachers in the classroom as their curriculums are being implemented so the teaching methodology can also be observed. The presentation of the curricula will be formated so that teachers will have an opportunity to incorporate them into their own teaching methods. The educators who develop these innovative curriculums will be made available to provide training for teachers and will be compensated for their in-service work. Additionally, interactive virtual conferences and seminars featuring 21st century educational constructs will be hosted, captured and posted for live and future viewing on the TERN website.

Business and industry have been invited to help define the 21st century job skills needed for their organizations so that curriculums can be developed or adapted to their specific needs. This unique approach is designed to align the educational construct with real world career development needs.

To be considered for inclusion on the TERN website, the curriculums must meet state and national standards using standardized or alternative assessments. Student understanding must be demonstrated, as well as how they will use the information they have learned. More information on criteria and submission of curricula will be posted as soon as it is available.
